LIFE, PROBLEMS, AND TOAST

As a mini-preview of what you can learn, let us look at one fundamental idea. This fundamental idea is that everything in life is a series of connections. Using this "connections view" of all things helps you figure out in advance what to do and what not to do in every circumstance.

As an example of how everything is a series of connections, let's say your toaster quits working. Your toaster is an example of a simple series of connections. Basically, your toaster is a switch, connected to an electrical power source, and the power source is connected to a wire filament turning red-hot when power is applied to the filament. One day you place your bread in the toaster slots, push down the lever, and…no toast. You look inside the toaster but see no red-hot wires. What to do? If you have no understanding about how a toaster works you will not know what to do. Without toaster knowledge, all you will know is the toaster does not work.

Looking at the connections mentioned, let's do some problem solving...

  1. If you understand the toaster needs electrical power to operate then you can check the electrical wall outlet receptacle to see if the receptacle is providing electricity.
  2. If you know the toaster needs electrical power you can check to see if the toaster plug is plugged into the wall outlet.
  3. If you understand the toaster has a switch in the handle you push down, you can check the switch.
  4. If you understand crumbs can get into the switch mechanism and keep the switch from operating, you can check the switch mechanism for crumbs (or turn the toaster upside down, shake out the crumbs on the counter, a  favorite method) and try to get the toaster operating again.
  5. If you understand the wire filament inside the walls of the toaster must be continuous and must not have any break in the filament, you can check the filament for continuity.

For most of us, life is so complicated and so full of connections and interconnections we have a tough time fixing what needs to be fixed. We have a tough time sorting out what works and what does not work. In life, we are in a situation where we are not only trying to fix a broken toaster but we are also trying to use the toaster at the same time. We have all had experiences where we tried to fix the toaster and make toast at the same time…and we end up being toast. At Comeback Road meetings, we help you find and explore the maze of connections. We show you, step by step, how to see the connections in life, how to trouble shoot or problem solve, how to plan out and manage a successful effort, and how to maximize the wisdom you already have to execute your plan.

Everyone has had success in life. When you join us you can discover the history of your success.  [Read More On The Next Page]
