COMMENTARY ON THE MEANING OF YOUR CREED, MOTTO, AND AFFIRMATION

Essential Nutrients Of Life

Some of the essential nutrients of life are help, answers, blessings, joy, hope, strength, purpose, faith, and the Light or love.

Every human being has an ego. However, there is a larger truth. This  larger truth is we can move beyond our selfishness and our ego. In our life, to achieve more and achieve greatness we all need to understand achievement and greatness are inversely proportional to our selfishness and ego. This means as selfishness and ego go up in volume, achievement and greatness go down. Conversely, the more unselfish and the less egotistical a person becomes, achievement and greatness increase.

It may not look like it. It may not seem like it. It may not appear too reasonable people less ego and less selfishness create achievement and greatness. In fact, what we see in the world looks like the more selfish and the more ego driven you are, then the more money you can make and the more success you can obtain. However, what we see in the world is an illusion.

Here is a real life example. Look at Elvis. He was so famous I do not need to give you his last name. Elvis had everything. He had money, fame, and incredible adoration from fans the world over. He died of a drug overdose on his bathroom floor. The world might think Elvis did more, was more, and achieved more. By the way the world measures achievement and greatness, Elvis was off the achievement charts like he was off the song charts with one hit record after another. What the world got wrong about Elvis was Elvis had an inner life. Elvis had an inner life of torment, pain, loneliness, and suffering…and in terms of his inner life, Elvis failed miserably.

Our primary goal for you in Comeback Road is not to make you famous, not to make you incredibly rich, not to give you hit song after hit song, or push you to worldly achievements like the world measures achievements. Make no mistake about it. You can use the power building achievement success systems we use to build great worldly wealth. You can achieve fame. You can achieve whatever kind of worldly thing your selfishness and ego-driven soul might want. Our guaranteed management success strategies and methods work so well, if you have the desire and passion to achieve worldly "stuff" then you can achieve your "stuff."

However, our primary goal for you is to give you the power to give away to others, not get for yourself. Our primary goal for you is to get you to give away to others a greater help, a greater answer, a greater blessing, a greater joy, a greater hope, a greater strength, a larger purpose, a greater faith, a greater angel, and the greatest Light. Put in a business context, the business manager who does not do the give away activity is doomed managerially and professionally. For when you give away all these essential nutrients of life to others in a any life context, there comes back to you a return on your effort. What comes back to you is greatness and achievement beyond your hopes and dreams.

Our primary mission at Comeback Road, as an organization, is to give you a greater help, a greater answer, a greater blessing, a greater joy, a greater hope, a greater strength, a larger purpose, a greater faith, a greater angel, and the greatest Light.

We want you to give away what we have given you. We want you to give away these intangible but essential nutrients to the other members of your Comeback Road group, to your family, to your friends, to your co-workers, to everyone you know, and to everyone on earth.

Here is a real life example from business. A wildly successful business helps fill the customer's needs. This means the customer comes first or the customer is king. A disastrous business failure waiting to happen only cares about filling the needs of the business owners. A business failure is a business not caring about the needs of the customers. The best managers, teachers, coaches, ministers, executives, leaders, supervisors, doctors, counselors, salespersons, programmers, parents, or any other persons in any walk of life think first of the needs of others.

When our selfishness and ego consume us, we run the risk of winding up like Elvis…dead on the bathroom floor from a drug overdose.

Whatever success you have in life, in any area of life, means nothing if you do not commit yourself to be or to serve all the intangible essential nutrients to others. The most successful person in the world is still only one person, living only within his or her mind and heart. Your ultimate achievement in life is to fully and totally be or serve others all of these intangible essential nutrients.

If you make $10 billion dollars a year, have 12 estates, chauffeurs, maids, servants, and have enormous power, but you never served as someone else's greater help, greater answer, greater blessing, greater joy, greater hope, greater strength, greater purpose, greater faith, greater angel, and greatest light, then you have failed miserably. You have failed yourself and you have failed others.

You may instinctively live out your life putting yourself first, but if you continue putting yourself first then everyone in the world will put you last on their list and last in their life. In a religious sense, all of these intangible essential nutrients of life are available from God if we make these intangible essential ingredients available to others. The more of the intangible essential nutrients we give away, the more of the intangible essential nutrients we get in return. What goes around comes around. The  intangible essential nutrients you send out are the  intangible essential nutrients coming back to you. The power of giving these  intangible essential nutrients to others is astounding but this astounding power is not a power of this world. The astounding power you receive from serving others by giving or being these intangible essential nutrients is from God.

COMEBACK ROAD MEMBER'S CREED

For every obstacle, there is a greater help.

We all have obstacles on the road of life. There can be times when the obstacles of our life are so overwhelming we want to give up. However, as a member of Comeback Road, there is for you a greater help to deal with those obstacles. Your membership and participation in your achievement group can give you the vital support you need at the moments of your life when help is needed most. There are two major responses you can make to obstacles in your life. (1) You can either give up or (2) deal directly with the obstacles by trying to make progress. If you are not content to live with the obstacles then you have to deal directly with them. To deal directly with obstacles you have to hold within yourself an innate vision seeing beyond the obstacles. To deal with obstacles you also need an innate belief there is help somewhere. Your help may be self-help. Your help may be help from other people, books, management consultants, technical advisors, the Internet, or learning by trial and error. Your help may also be from your faith in God. In the last analysis, if you do not believe there is a greater help to deal with obstacles in your life then you are doomed. If you believe there IS a greater help to deal with obstacles then you have a chance at dealing with the obstacles. You have a chance at moving on past the obstacles or destroying them. Our philosophy in Comeback Road is this: when you are a greater help to others then when you need help, others help you.

For every question, there is a greater answer.

Answers can be difficult to come by when we need answers the most. As one of our members, you will find answers in our seminars and in the relationships or friendships you make with other members. You will find answers to propel you forward in life. In Comeback Road, you will find your group to be made up of people like you…with a mindset geared toward making progress in every aspect of life. Some of the answers we seek can only be found the hard way. The hard way often requires we have the courage to use life's trial and error method. However, your meetings can give you the courage, the will power, and the managerial tools, techniques, and methods to learn life's greatest lessons while building a life of productivity and purpose.

Underachievers remain satisfied with things as they are. For underachievers, any answer to any question will do. For underachievers, if they question whether they could ever achieve more and they receive a "No" answer, underachievers accept the "No" answer. For this reason, underachievers can easily sit in failure. Underachievers too often accept any answer to any question without question. For underachievers, there is no inquiry into anything deeper, into anything more helpful, into anything more profitable, or into anything more edifying. To achieve more in life, to turn life around, to defeat adversity, to come back against defeat, then not just any answer, not just a first answer, or not just a surface answer will do. To achieve more and to be greater than you are now requires you use your mind to seek, ask, and knock on every available door. When you seek, ask, and knock as a mental, spiritual, and emotional lifestyle, what you find are treasures others miss. Most importantly, when you learn to help others find their greater answer then something amazing and profound happens in you…in you, there appears a greater answer when you help others find their greater answer.

For every curse, there is a greater blessing.

Buried in every adversity is a way to access the power of God. We do not always understand this mystery. There are times in life when every moment of your life seems like a curse. However, during your dark moments, with Comeback Road you will find faith, support, encouragement, and wisdom. We can help you find blessings among the many curses you may face. With Comeback Road, you do not need to face any curse alone. With us, you have people you can turn to who will affirm your life, your purpose, your goals, and your objectives.

If we open our hearts, minds, and souls to the idea for every curse there is a greater blessing then blessings will always outnumber curses. Blessings always outweigh curses but you have to see and believe blessings are greater. Blessings and the Heaven from which they come have always outnumbered curses. If blessings had not always outnumbered curses, then mankind would have self-destructed long ago. We have no tangible way or objective way of measuring blessings and curses. We have no measuring device to measure how much of a blessing or how much of a curse a circumstance might be. What we do have, from our life experience, is the tangible knowledge blessings truly come to those who are blessings to others. Most important of all, when you give blessings to others when they are overwhelmed by their curses, your life is blessed in return. This whole idea of giving away blessings seems to be a secret. At Comeback Road, the secret is out.

For every sadness, there is a greater joy.

Above the clouds the sun always shines. In sadness, we all need others who understand our life passages and who will be there to help us soar above the dark clouds covering our life. As a member, be assured we are committed to helping you soar over your moments of sadness. As a member, we are counting on you to help others along on their own quest to see and experience life's greater joys.

There is sadness in life. The older a person gets the more sadness they seem to accumulate. Underachievers accept sadness is the ultimate end of life. Real achievers believe and accept joy is at the ultimate end of life. If we accept sadness is greater than joy, we have no real hope for joy in the future. If we accept sadness is the way things will be for the rest of our lives, we have less of a reason to keep on living. In the day to day grind of life, each of us must decide if the cup of our life is half full or half empty.

Our first decision each day is whether to grasp the cup of life with all of the cup's joy and sadness. Our second decision each day is to offer what little we have in our cup up to God and up to others. An essential truth about the joy of life is we control whether we have joy. Joy comes to us not because of some outside circumstance. Joy comes to us because we seek joy out, we look for joy, we expect joy, we believe in joy, we know joy exists, and we are determined to give as much joy away as possible. Most of all, joy comes to us when we count our blessings.

For every despair, there is a greater hope.

At Comeback Road, hope never runs out. No matter who you are or where you are, there is always hope. No matter if you only have a short time to live, there is for you a greater hope beyond what you can see, feel, and touch with your senses. Despair may come, but you can find within your Comeback Road group, other persons who firmly believe hope shall never end.

In a business application, underachieving managers are content to live in despair and defeat. Underachieving managers are content to let this happen, and the despair of the underachieving manager eventually overwhelms them. Given full reign, despair can literally end our lives. For people to achieve the greatness they were designed to achieve, despair, whenever it comes, and from whatever source it comes, must be thrown away. We throw away our despair by grasping the hope of life. For if we will it, the hope of life overwhelms our despair and we are set free from the chains despair puts upon us. In your life, there is a greater hope for every despair if you have the courage to seek, ask, and knock to find the hope. There is a greater hope in every desperate moment if you give hope away to those who have no hope. You find in return for the hope you gave away you are then immersed in hope in exponential  proportions to that which you gave.

For every weakness, there is a greater strength.

We hope you find, as one of our members, a way to deal with every weakness by finding a greater strength. At Comeback Road, one of our purposes is to show you there are ways of overcoming a weakness. We overcome a weakness not by making the weakness go away, but by compensating for the weakness. Our greatest strength is knowing our weakness and developing ways of compensating for the weakness. As a member, you will have strength in numbers. In your group, you have others who have their own weaknesses, but all of the strengths combined, make you stronger than you could ever be on your own.

It is not enough to say you can't. It is not enough to be content in your weakness. It is not enough to give up. It is not enough to quit when it seems all is lost. In weakness there is a greater strength if you see beyond the weakness. In weakness there is a greater strength if you have a vision of the source from which all strength flows.

To cast your eyes downward in defeat does not prepare you for the victory to come. To cast your eyes upward gives you a true vision of your future. If you are willing to work and sweat after defeat to earn your future then your future will come to you wrapped in victory. In both victory and defeat, we will proclaim for every weakness there is indeed a greater strength. Most important of all, as a management philosophy, when you live to help someone else look up in their defeat, they will help you find your victory.

For every life, there is a greater purpose.

There is a plan and purpose for your life. Few sense it, realize it, or know it. But in your walk on the road, you can find in your meetings a growing sense of your purpose in life. You can find your purpose in life is not necessarily to be at a certain place at a certain time. You can find your purpose in life is to be more than you ever thought possible, to do more than you ever thought possible, to help others more than you ever thought possible, and to truly pursue a path where goals and objectives are reached as hopes and dreams come true.

You know already, there is upon your life an upward pull toward greatness. There is also upon your life a downward pull spelling your doom. Every minute of every day of your life these two forces pull upon you. As a thinking being you always have the choice of aligning your will with the upward pull or the downward pull. The upward pull wants greatness. The downward pull wants abject failure. There is upon you a tug of war. The higher power and the lower power pull upon your heart, mind, soul, and body. In your life, we can proclaim there is a greater purpose because you can, with the very force of your will, determine whether the higher power or the lower power wins. You can determine whether the power of greatness in you wins or whether the power of abject failure wins. You already have a sense of your own power to decide in this tug of war. Because you sense your own power to determine the outcome of this tug of war, you can choose to move upward and resist the move downward. Consequently, greatness comes. Most importantly, when you help others push or pull upward and you help them defeat the downward power, they in turn will help you pull upward and defeat the downward power in you.

For every doubt, there is greater faith.

Doubt kills the soul. Faith enlivens the soul. Faith is the binding thread  keeping you alive and well. As you meet with others on the road to greater achievement in life, you will see in them and find in yourself doubts can be short-lived. You will find faith empowers you to greater heights and greater achievements.

We all have the capacity for faith and belief. We all run on faith and belief. We cannot get out of bed in the morning without faith and belief or we would be testing the floor to see if the floor would hold us up. We use faith and belief in every facet of our daily life, yet in some areas we empty out our capacity for faith and belief. We empty out our capacity for faith and belief by exchanging visions of what is possible from Heaven with what is possible from Hell. Faith puts its emphasis on the word "Yes" while doubt puts its emphasis on the word "No." When we are honest, we admit we have doubts. When we are more honest, we must all admit our doubts are grounded in believing what seems impossible now will remain impossible in the future. However, we all have the innate capacity to believe. We all have the innate capacity to fill the cup of our life using our ability to choose good over evil, light over dark, and the possibility of greatness over the possibility of failure. Most importantly, when you help others fill the cup of their life with the great possibilities from Heaven, the cup of your life overflows with the realities of Heaven…doubt is then exchanged for faith.

For every demon, there is a larger angel.

A lie can be powerful but the truth is more powerful than a lie. In your life there are forces and powers seeking your defeat by telling you lies. In your life there are forces and powers seeking victory by telling you the truth. With Comeback Road, we are here to help you find the most powerful of angelic powers. We are here to help you claim absolute victory over the demons wanting to bring you down.

Some people have seen them. Most people have not. We can choose to believe or not to believe. When we choose not to believe we are left in the middle of this war between Heaven and Hell with little hope, little power, and little promise. When we choose to believe, we have a chance to determine whether the demons can be defeated. When we choose to believe, the angels can rejoice in victory. Most of all, when you serve others and become an invisible angel in disguise for them, their guardian angel comes to you when your demons try to pound you down.

For every darkness, there is the greatest Light.

Life can bring times of immense darkness. However, in life, there can also be times when the Light of the Creator, the being we call God, the being who is the Light, causes the darkness to vanish in an instant. As one of our members, you can see played out in your life and in the lives of your fellow members, the shining Light of victory over the darkness. With Comeback Road, we shall not let you stand alone in any darkness, but we shall do all in our power to bring you the Light of God to help you, guide you, and inspire you.

The darkness of your life has no power other than the power you let the darkness have. Darkness cannot exist in light. Darkness can never defeat Light when you let the Light be present. Light is energy and power. Darkness is the lack of Light energy and power. When you do not choose the Light you are immersed and lost in the darkness. When you choose the Light then your soul lives in the Light. When you bring the Light to others, the darkness in you will flee like the darkness flees in a room illuminated by the sun.

COMEBACK ROAD MOTTO

I shall meet every moment with promise, every adversity with hope.

To win out over the great obstacles we face, it is required we have an attitude full of promise and hope. To be a winner requires in every moment, we embrace the promise that life's greatest blessings are already ours.  When we meet adversity with the hope of winning, then winning in some form is assured. When we meet adversity with the hope of winning, then winning happens. When we meet adversity with the hope of winning, then adversity is defeated.

Embedded in the motto is the belief you have the power to make decisions. Embedded in the fabric of Comeback Road is the belief you can and do make decisions every second you are alive. You can decide how you will meet each moment. You can decide how you will meet every adversity. Some of us who believe strongly in God find the ultimate promise of life in our faith in God. Some of us who believe strongly in God believe every adversity contains hope, for God is our hope in every adversity. If we do not proclaim to ourselves we will live with promise then whatever promises we make to ourselves can be easily broken. If we do not proclaim there is hope in every adversity then we can lose hope when the darkness of adversity comes at us. Most importantly, as you help others meet every moment with promise, and help them meet every adversity with hope, your own moments fill with promise and your own adversities are overwhelmed with hope.

COMEBACK ROAD AFFIRMATION

Our days of hope shall never end, our seasons of promise shall last forever.

It is not cockeyed optimism to believe we can see over the horizon. Obviously, we cannot see over the horizon with our physical eyes. To see over the horizon with our spirit, with our mind, and with our ideas, is a matter of faith. When we have faith, our days of hope extend into infinity. When we have faith, our seasons of promise do not end on earth but extend forever upward into the greatness awaiting us when we see God.

With God, there is no end to hope and promise. A person with a faith in God can live their life with days full of hope and promise. Even at the very end of life, even at the last hour of life, persons of faith are filled with hope. Even at the very end of life, even at the last hour of life, persons of faith are filled with His promises. As you fill the lives of others with days of hope and fill their life with seasons of promise, so shall your own life be filled with days of hope and seasons of promise.
